Ingredients

  • Developed software for the product
  • Developed hardware for the product
  • Developed mechanics for the product
  • Development plan

Process

After having implemented the software, hardware and mechanics planned for the current timebox and having verified that each subsystem meet the applicable requirements and features, it is time to integrate the subsystems into one unit.

Consider if it is preferable to do the integration stepwise, and verify/test this partly integrated unit before integrating it with the rest of the subsystems.

Carry out the integration.

After the integration, the integrated system/product has to be verified as one unit.

Why

The design and implementation of a system are typically made for software, hardware and mechanics as separate subsystems.

In order to deploy a product to the customer with the functionality chosen for the timebox, it is necessary to integrate the subsystems into a product.

After the integration, the developed system should be verified as one unit before the deployment.

Verification of the integrated parts is next.
